STAPHYLOCOCCAL RESISTANCE TO ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS

Abstract

Increase of the resistance of S. aureus and other bacteria to antibiotics and remaining antimicrobial agents is an essential problem in medicine. The knowledge of the resistance mechanism and their genetic basis enables the search for new agents (drugs, disinfectants), acting against staphylococci, including multidrug resistance strains, responsible for nosocomial infections.
