Abstrakt

Tight control of culture conditions is possible if pharmaceutically valuable secondary metabolites are derived from plant biomass cultured in vitro. This approach can be economically attractive compared to conventional methods, provided the yields of the desired compounds are sufficiently high. Currently, considerable attention is focused on the optimization of in vitro culture conditions, with the aim of promoting the growth of biomass and facilitating the biosynthesis of the desired plant secondary metabolites.
